This Month I'm Loving... Ruffles

Left to right, top to bottom:

River Island White Frilly Lace Dress: I couldn't resist this little number so I've added it to my ruffle collection. I've got so many different looks to create and accessories to try it out with. As I try to do every season, I update my staples. Most summers, I choose a new, white summer dress that's a little bit different.

Boohoo Faith Ruffle Sleeve Detail Sheer Blouse: Ruffles in pink are so adorable. I mean, the ultimate aim with this detail is to create a romantic look which is why the shade works so well.

Alexander McQueen Spring 2016 Ready-To-Wear: This dress simply epitomises the ruffle trend. Part romance, part Victoriana, Alexander McQueen gets it just right.

River Island Pink Print Ruffle Dress: I wouldn't typically wear a print like this; it's a bit "kitsch" for my personal taste. However, I think the shape of the dress really lends itself to holding the ruffle detail and I can picture it looking super cute with a summer wedge.

Proenza Schouler Spring 2016 Ready-To-Wear: One of my favourite designers, Proenza Schouler demonstrates how to wear the trend in a classic way that is easily transferable from the catwalk to everyday life.

Topshop Off-The-Shoulder Bardot Blouse: Simple, yet effective, why not step away from your standard white shirt and try something new?

Haul

Hi everyone!

I hope you've had a great bank holiday weekend!

I've been doing a lot of organising (you know how I love that) and I went to see the new Jungle Book film. I've also been doing some celebrating but we'll talk more about that in another post.

So, these are my latest buys. Evidently, I'm preparing for the warmer weather, even if it is wishful thinking. I'm so happy I got this Topshop choker because I had one from somewhere else and it broke the very first time I wore it! I find that they simply go with everything and update any outfit instantly. I'm actually starting to think they sparked the origin of the phrase 'je ne sais quoi'.

I live in my denim jacket throughout summer every year but never thought of getting one in a different colour to blue. This one is going to look great over cute, summer dresses.

If you follow me on Instgram (@astyleisborn) then you'll have seen these sunglasses in the pink/rose gold combo several times as I'm OBSESSED with them! Therefore, you won't be surprised to learn that I've bought them in black and silver too. They're from Coconut Lane and I can't get over how nice their shape is as it makes them look so much more expensive. And the good news doesn't stop there... if you like what you see, use my unique discount code* for 20% off: astyleisborn20.

When it comes to tops, I'm always on the lookout for that extra bit of detail; it's one of the easiest ways to style. I love that this is just a simple vest top and then with a couple of extra pieces of material, it's totally transformed.

As for these espadrilles, I'm completely in love. I'm desperate for the weather to improve so I can put them to good use.
